Interactive Community Discovery: Sales Center Kiosk

Buying a home is one of the most significant decisions people make, and the process can feel overwhelming. To help buyers explore communities with confidence, I designed an interactive touchscreen kiosk that transformed the traditional sales office experience into a self-guided digital journey.

The goal was to create a seamless, intuitive, and visually engaging interface that allowed potential buyers to explore home models, community amenities, and available lots. This reduced reliance on sales agents while enhancing engagement.

Challenge

Navigating an Information-Rich Community

Master-planned communities offer luxury amenities, multiple home models, and extensive customization options, making the homebuying process overwhelming.

Buyers needed to absorb a huge amount of information in a short time, including:

  • Resort-style amenities – Clubhouses, pools, fitness centers, dining, and events.
  • Community layout & available lots – Understanding location and home placement.
  • Floorplans & customizations – Choosing a model, upgrades, and how it fits on the lot.

Sales reps spent too much time repeating information, and buyers struggled to retain details. A digital solution was needed to give buyers more control while streamlining the sales process.

Solution

Empowering Buyers Through an Interactive Experience

The Sales Center Kiosk transformed the buying experience by allowing users to explore key details at their own pace while keeping the big picture in view.

  • Interactive site maps & floorplans – Buyers could browse models, filter preferences, and visualize home placement on lots.
  • Customizable home selection – Integrated tools let buyers view exterior styles, interior finishes, and structural upgrades.
  • Engaging community content – High-quality visuals showcased lifestyle amenities and neighborhood features.
  • Sales team integration – Users could explore independently but request assistance anytime.

Instead of being overwhelmed, buyers could navigate what mattered most to them, reducing information overload while enhancing engagement.
